Shamara McKoy (“Mara”) became a License Real Estate Salesperson in 2017 amid navigating the real estate world for investment properties with her significant other. That experience reignited her interest in real estate, which was first sparked when she relocated to NYC and became aware of the challenges the area’s residents face in becoming homeowners. Mara, who has fond memories of growing up in the home where her parents reside to the present day, is passionate about helping families and individuals find their dream homes to build memories of their own.

The Wilmington, NC native is a graduate of the law school at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from North Carolina A&T State University. A published writer and educator, Mara is a contributor to the HuffingtonPost.com and BlackEnterprise.com, among others.
